Late this Spring Baltic Yachts signed a contract for a sleek and powerful 108ft (33m) Yacht designed by Javier Jaudenes. This hi-tech racer/cruiser will have a displacement of only 82 tonnes, and the emphasis on minimal weight will follow the boat throughout the project. Just by looking at the above image you can tell that she is going to be fast and easy to sail. The perfect yacht for those all important Rolex Superyacht regattas. She is sure to make an impact on the Superyacht racing scene like no other yacht has done before.
One of the yachts main features will be the automated glass bulkhead between the deck saloon and cockpit. This bulkhead will drop down discreetly, ensuring an uninterrupted transition between interior and exterior. Her spacious interior is being designed by Mark Tucker and his team at the design studio Design Unlimited.
The construction will start in the Autumn at Baltic Yachts facilities in Jakobstad, Finland. The hull and deck will be laminated in a pre-preg carbon sandwich with a foam core. Delivery will take place in 2014, so watch out Superyacht racing circuit!
