Van Geest Design 50m Sloop

The word everyone is looking for is "stealthy", yes the new Van Geest Designed 50m sloop in collaboration with Rob Doyle Design naval architecture has the exterior aesthetics of a futuristic stealth yacht. The brief, set by an experienced client, was for a fast racing superyacht as well as the ultimate cruising experience. The main goal of the client was to create something completely new and different than his other existing superyachts of similar size.

The design and the stylish play of exterior lines and surfaces, gives the her its distinctive sleek and stealthy appearance. By developing this futuristic style, Van Geest Design and Rob Doyle Design are stepping away from conventional and traditional hull and superstructure shapes. The portholes are integrated in the hull stripe that follows the heights of the interior cabins and widens where the portholes are located giving a wonderful design feature to the hull.

New glass technologies can be easily used on the glass paneling of the superstructure. Shading which controls the amount of sunlight through the glass and heat reduction are common technologies currently used by the glass industry. Even the use of on-off see through glass can be used for exterior and interior. The Rob Doyle designed hull package combines a performance hull with speed and comfort. Which is achieved through her wide beam.
