World Superyacht Awards 2014
It's the morning of the eve of the 2014 World Superyacht Awards which will bring some of the worlds greatest designers, shipyards and owners to the beautiful setting of the Dutch renaissance church in Westerkerk, Netherlands.
The diverse range of categories includes the finest displacement motor yachts, semi-displacement motor yachts and sailing yachts delivered in 2013, as well as refit and rebuilt yachts and owners that have undertaken an extraordinary voyage within the preceding two years. The winning superyachts and their owners will receive the prestigious Neptune trophy, a symbol excellence in superyacht build and design.
The judging panel of twenty experienced superyacht owners, were "quick to acknowledge that every finalist is a magnificent vessel in its own right, and that merely being singled out as a worthy yacht for them to consider is an accolade for its owner, designers and builder" according to Roger Lean-Vercoe, Chairman of the Judges.
Guests at the event will be visiting some of the worlds leading shipyards: Amels, Feadship, Heesen Yachts, Holland Jachtbouw and Royal Huisman, where each yard will provide tours of their impressive facilities in the run up to the main event.
This will be an exciting weekend for guests and all involved, one to remember. Megayacht Global will bring you the winners as they come in over the weekend.
