European Formula 1 At La Marina Real Juan Carlos

The European Formula 1 circuit is the only track that F1 visits during the year that the Marina and Superyachts are enclosed within the circuit its self. The Marina Real Juan Carlos has this set up perfect so that owners and guests on Superyachts have a variety of perfect viewing points around the circuit. The best viewing areas include the Back Straight, Corners 2 & 3, the straight along the Americas Cup bases and Corners 4 & 5, yachts can dock stern to at the corners and alongside on the back straight. Mega Yacht Global was there to take in all the action from all these viewing points and talk with owners, guests and crew about their experience at the marina and the F1.

The Marina was alive with Superyachts, owners and crew on the dock during the build up to to weekend and during the racing, with the largest Yacht attending the 95m (312ft) Indian Empress who is a repeat yacht from last year. Through conversations on the dock it seems that a lot if not all the Superyachts might come back for next year or even drop in to Valencia at sometime during the next year.

The crew off the 73m (241ft) 'Pegaso' and the Royal Huisman ketch 'Kamaxitha' that measures 49m (160ft) were all enjoying themselves with the F1 vibe. Captain Roger Wheatley from the newly sold Moonen 97 'Alaska' commented 'I have been very impressed with the level of professionalism and friendliness of the staff here at the marina, they all have the correct attitude and that goes along way'.

Just as we were leaving on Sunday evening we caught sight of 2nd place finisher Kimi Raikkonen walking down the dock to his Superyacht 'Iceman', greeted by all his friends with a great cheer. It was an action packed and fun weekend enjoyed by all who attended. For more information on the Marina Real Juan Carlos please follow the link below.
