First Chinese Order For Feadship

Feadship have benefited from their recent tour to the Far East by the award winning Megayacht Helix, in becoming the first western shipyard to sell a newly built 45m to an owner from China. The Chinese client must have been on board Helix during its tour and has requested a similar sized yacht that would also include a helicopter deck. Feadship immediately started to design and engineer the yacht to the owners views and have now started construction to ensure the owner takes delivery before the Chinese New Year in 2013.

'We are delighted to have the opportunity to bring the unique Feadship style of yachting to this upcoming market,' comments marketing manager Francis Vermeer. 'It follows a highly successful visit by the Feadship Helix to the Hainan Rendezvous in April, where we welcomed many interested parties onboard. Opening up new markets requires that people can see and feel for themselves the difference between a yacht and a Feadship. We are honoured that one of those visitors has chosen to be a pioneer for his country and place the first exclusive superyacht order for the People’s Republic of China.'

She will be run by a crew of 8 who will attended the needs of up to 10 guests at any one time. The guest accommodation will include an owners stateroom with separate bathroom and walk in wardrobe, and 4 guest staterooms.
