The First Wally Cento 'Hamilton' Is Launched

The first WallyCento was successfully launched yesterday in Hythe on the south coast of England where she was built. One special aspect of the Cento is that Wally lets the owners choose where they want to build, the naval architect and the interior designer as long as comply and are approved by Wally. So the new owner of this WallyCento christened 'Hamilton' selected Judel Vrolijk as the naval architects with the interiors designed by Design Unlimited. Hamilton will fully exploit the WallyCento box rule to create a fast cruiser-racer that benefits from the latest performance technology, yet still shows the trademark Wally style.

You might be wondering why Cento? well this has to do with their length that is just under the 100ft mark. Hamilton is the first Superyacht to feature the unique three spoke steering wheel developed for WallyCento by the designer Konstantin Grcic, which adds more dimension to her external styling.

Hamilton will join the Wally Class racing circuit participating in the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup (September 2-8, Porto Cervo) and in the Voiles de Saint Tropez (September 30- October 7). Next year she will be able to battle it out on the race course with the second WallyCento 'Magic Carpet Cubed' which is currently in build at Wally Europe in Ancona, Italy. Magic Carpet Cubed is scheduled to be launched at the end of the year.

We are looking forward to seeing more of these stylish yachts racing around a course in the not to distant future. Below you can see how Hamilton will look when she is fully assembled and out on the water.
