Benetti's of Tomorrow

Another amazing concept design from Benetti's design innovation program which involves 16 international design firms and 27 projects. The program was set up to develop new design concepts for Benetti's custom yachts from 50m up to 90m+ in order to evolve Benetti's design and to offer their clients a wide range of new projects.

Vincenzo Poerio CEO of the Megayachts Business Unit commented "Evolving the design, the style and the family-feeling imprinted on Benetti yachts by 140 years of history is as an ambitious task. But as tireless devotees of novelty, evolution and challenge, we had no alternative. Then again, looking ahead and anticipating the market has always been encoded in Benetti's DNA. This is why we have decided to assign this challenge to the world’s most reputed yacht designers. Almost twenty firms of architects worked on dozens of designs concepts for new yachts in the 50m to 90m+ meter range, offering possible new directions and interpretations for the future design of our mega-yachts. Excellence breeds excellence".

The 16 international design firms:
  • Axis – Horacio Bozzo Design
  • Bannemberg & Rowell
  • Marco Casali
  • Cor D Rove
  • Luiz De Basto
  • Luca Dini
  • Eidsgaard Design
  • Cristiano Gatto
  • Evan K Marshall
  • Studio Massari
  • Nauta Design
  • Neo Design
  • Prima Design
  • PS+A Palomba Serafini
  • Quarto Stile
  • Design Studio Spadolini
The above design is by Luca Dini Design in Italy and measures 72m (236ft) in length. Luca Dini took the typical external superstructure lines of Benetti as starting point and around this they developed the design of the yacht. The innovative stern includes two decks and can be closed for privacy through an electrically aluminium venetian blind. The drawings and inspiration was taken from the skyscrapers where the glass is used to reject heat and the glass embedded terraces are retractable, where they designed the full height glass side (seen in the video below). The overall exterior look of the yacht is powerful and sporty with sinuous and soft lines with the interior designed by Stefano Ricci.
