ISA Yachts Launch 54m "Forever One"
On June 28th ISA Yachts launched their newest megayacht, a 54m (179ft) called "Forever One". She is a fully custom megayacht with a full displacement hull.
She has a reverse bow and vibrant red and white paintwork that will definitely turn heads wherever she goes. Her reverse bow was designed by Horacio Bozzo Design with her interior design conducted by Alessandro Massari of Studio Massari. ISA Yachts worked in cooperation with the naval architect, the sales broker Fernando Nicholson, the captain/owner's representative Colin Skinner and the interior designer to build a megayacht full of distinctive features which make it stand out in a crowd.
Her layout is quite unconventional and ISA had the challenge to fit several features that make her unique. The owner's deck features a private balcony only accessible from their stateroom and a large aft deck terrace. Foldable bulwarks on the main deck grant a spectacular view to the exterior. She has an amazing glass elevator that connects all decks, from the lower deck to the flybridge. She has a spectacular dining/relaxing salon located forward on the main deck where the owner's stateroom is usually located. Her main garage is located forward on main deck and will carry a 9m tender and a 5.5m crew tender.
She is powered by two Caterpillars 3512C engines that will propel her to a speed of 16.5kts with a trans pacific range. Her exterior color scheme combines of a snow white colour on hull and superstructure with red elements to add that final bling!
Her name "Forever One" as explained by the owner is dedicated to his wife: "she is the one, forever". She will undergo the final commissioning phase in the next coming weeks.

ISA Launch 43m Silver Wind
On the 12th of June ISA Yachts launched and christened their newest megayacht the 43m (141ft) "Silver Wind". She looks like something straight off the set of a James Bond movie with her sharp angled sliver hull.
Her sharp and bold exterior design is the work of Andrea Vallicelli who gave her that striking look. She has 5 cabins that can accommodate 10 guests, who can enjoy relaxing moments at anchor on the yacht while making use of her extensive outdoor spaces. Other features include huge sundeck and a cosy beach area with a large swimming platform.
She has quite a unique hybrid propulsion system developed by Siemens and ISA Yachts, she can both run at the maximum speed of 32kts and a cruising speed of 26kts with a "traditional" propulsion system consisting of two marine diesel engines driving two Rolls-Royce Kamewa waterjets through reduction gear boxes, and navigate at low speed of 8kts. With two main engines off, the two waterjets are powered by the two electric motors connected to the gearbox. The two diesel generators also supply power to the electric users. At electric mode, the total fuel consumption is 90 l/h for a range of 2,600nm, very important for moving her without guests onboard, as consumption goes from 55 l/nm at max yacht speed to 11 l/nm with electric mode on, a great piece of engineering design.
She is scheduled for delivery in July.

ISA Yachts Launch 43m "Philmi"
On 29th of March ISA Yachts in Italy launched their first megayacht of the Granturismo range at their facility in Ancona. She's christened "Philmi" and measures 43m (141ft) in length. The Granturismo concept was presented to the yachting community in September 2011 at the Monaco Yacht Show and the contract for the construction of the first 43m GT was signed 6 months later, in March 2012 and is the second sale in the Granturismo range.
Philmi is a 2 decks steel/aluminium displacement megayacht with strong sporty exterior lines and a plumb bow which allows her to make the most of her length. She is powered by 2 CAT engines where she can reach a max speed of 17kts and a cruising speed of 15 kts, with a range of 2,800nm at cruising speed. She can accommodates 10 guests in 5 cabins that include the owners cabin.
Light is a major feature throughout Philmi whose interior design was by Sandrine Melot - the second yacht that Sandrine Melot has undertaken for the same owner. Two large skylights in the main saloon and the owner cabin enhance the interior with bundles of natural light. In the stern area a gym opens onto a large swim platform, while a tender garage hosts the tender.
She will start sea trials next week with a delivery scheduled for June. So if you are in the Ancona area keep a close eye out for her on the water.

ISA Yachts - Busy For The Winter
This winter ISA Yachts will have several of the megayachts they've delivered over the past number of years back at their yard in Ancona, Italy for maintenance and refit work. At the moment they have four megayachts that were delivered between 2007 and 2012 back at the yard, with three of them seen in the above image. Its a wonderful sight to see megayachts return back to their birth place for yard periods, which must say something about the Italian yard and their quality of service.
The megayachts that are back at the ISA facility over the winter are:
- Gemini, 36m (120ft), delivered in 2007
- Alexandar V, 48m (157ft), delivered in 2008
- Mary Jean II, 60m (197ft), delivered in 2010
- Belle Anna, 50m (164ft), delivered in 2012

ISA Yachts Sells Hybrid 140
Yesterday ISA Yachts in Ancona Italy announced the sale of their first ever hybrid megayacht. She will measure just over 43m (140ft) in length and will combine very high performance with low consumption, which is what nearly every megayacht owner wants to achieve.
She will have a unique propulsion system that consists of your two traditional diesel marine engines, that will power two Rolls-Royce Kamewa waterjets which will bring her to a top speed of 32kts and a cruising speed of 26kts but is also equipped with a hybrid system by Siemens. The hybrid system will allow her to navigate at a low speed of 8kts with her two main diesel engines off and the waterjets being powered by the two electrical engines. This would be great for those long delivery passages as consumption goes from 55liters/nm a max speed to 11liters/nm with the electric motors running the waterjets.
The 140 series is the largest semi-custom megayacht that ISA construct using a composite construction method called FRP (fibre reinforced plastic). Her sporty exterior lines have been designed by Andrea Vallicelli who has created a stylish flowing line from the sun deck right down to the beach club at the stern. Her interior that's designed by Nuvolari & Lenard Design will consist of 5 cabins to accommodate up to 10 guests, a spacious main lounge and an elegant beach club area aft.
Her delivery is scheduled for the summer of 2014, so not to far away.

The 41m "Aziza" Gets Some Sun
ISA Yachts in Ancona Italy have just taken the 41m (134ft) "Aziza" out of her construction shed for her first glimpse of sun light as she gets ready for launching. Aziza is the first of the 5 fully custom megayachts ISA have under construction at their yard.
She was designed by Andrea Vallicelli and has been developed from the 39m classic platform. She has a displacement hull built from steel and a three deck superstructure that has been constructed from aluminium. When designing Aziza Andrea took into account three fundamental elements: the visual center back on the stern, a streamlined bow and large interior volumes.
Aziza was sold in late 2011 and took 20 months to build, involving about 250 people at the yard. She is scheduled to be launched in a couple of days time on the 20th of April and then delivered to her owner at the end of June after her sea trials.
The shed where Aziza was built will not remain vacant for long as the hull of the larger ISA54m is standing by to enter and start finishing works. There is another two megayachts in the shed finishing construction as well, the 43m and 66m Granturismo. We will have pictures of her launch as soon as they come in.
