Heesen Yachts New 58m Design

Heesen Yachts have presented their new 58m (190ft) design in collaboration with the Italian designer Francesco Paszkowski. Her sleek aggressive exterior lines portray speed and power combined with elements inspired by automotive and aeronautical styling.

The relationship between Heesen Yachts and Francesco Paszkowski dates back to the nineties with the creation of the exterior lines of the 35m (115ft) megayacht "Opus II" and more recently with the interior design of two vessels in the 50m (164ft) semi-displacement class.

Her stern is very distinctive with a swim platform surrounded with full width steps and elegant stairs on either side of the sun pads to access the aft deck. An unusual design feature is located on the fore deck where a bimini lifts up to reveal and shade an open air lounge space.

Guests are accommodated in five cabins which include a traditionally located full beam owners cabin forward on the main deck, two twin and two double cabins located on the lower deck.

Fabio Ermetto, Sales and Marketing Director at Heesen, comments: "Paszkowski has created a very innovative interpretation of Heesen’s traditional lines; the look of this 58 metre vessel has a family feeling within its strong individuality. At Heesen we are very happy to have the chance to work with such a creative designer. This project, which we already studied and are ready to build, will sport a fast displacement hull (FDHF) created by Van Oossanen Naval Architects and will reach a maximum speed of approximately 23 knots powered by a pair of MTU engines of 16V 4000 M93L."

The First Oyster 125 Hits The Water

Oyster 125
The first Oyster 125 flybridge superyacht named "Twilight" by Oyster Marine has been launched at the the Turkish shipyard RMK Marine. She has that distinctive design style of her world renowned designers Dubois Naval Architects, and she is sure to be a treat to look at out on the water with full sails up.

Flybridge saling superyachts are a relatively new concept and until Twilight the flybridge was only to be found on yachts 48m (160ft) and above. The experance of Dubois Naval Architects flybridge design has been passed down to the smaller Twilight from famous Dubois designed superyachts such as the 54.3m (178ft) Tiara and the 51.7m (169ft) Kokomo.

Her upper flybridge offers twin helms, a lounge, wet bar and a sunbathing area, while her spacious upper saloon offers great panoramic views. She will be able to accommodate up to 8 guests in a full beam master cabin, two doubles and a twin.

Hot Labs Concept For RMK Marine

Leisure Concept

The Italian design studio Hot Labs has done it again and have come up with yet another outstanding and smooth concept in two variations. This time they have produced this concept design for RMK Marine in Turkey. The RMK 5000 concept came about as Hot Labs continued their work with the Turkish yard on a 43m (141ft) refit project and they saw an opportunity to introduce the concept project to the yard.

The concept shows two variations the True Luxury Explorer and the Leisure, both of which are fully flexible to suit the individual client requirements and the tastes of the current market. They are both designed with modern soft lines that give that uncluttered look and feel that everyone wants in an expedition yacht. They both have fully displacement hulls with a long cruising range and can accommodate up to 10 guests and 8 crew.

True Luxury Explorer Concept
The True Luxury Explorer concept features a vast aft deck specifically designed to accommodate a tender up to 10.2m or can also be converted into a "touch and go" heli deck. Under the aft deck she will be able to house other toys such as a submarine, jet skis, hovercraft and a diving area. The owner will be able to enjoy the most out of his explorer yacht and the areas it will take him to with these toys at his hands.

Special attention is given to additional storage, ease of provisioning, extra freezing spaces and cold garbage storage which are all prefect for circumnavigation without a need of stopping in unscheduled ports.

Leisure Concept
On the Leisure concept the helipad is substituted with a 6m wide swimming pool and sunbeds so that guests can relax whilst enjoying the ultimate cruising experience. The 9m tender is placed in the lazarette below, which uses an overhead crane to deploy it easily over the side into the sea. The beach club is located at the stern and opens out to create a large social area close to the surrounding water.

Beach Club
Her robust hull is designed to ice class standards to overcome the harshest marine environments. She will have a transatlantic and transpacific rage to bring her owner and guests to the most remote places on the planet.

Horizon Yachts New P136 Model

The Horizon Group has just announced that they are elevating the successful Horizon P130 model with a new P136 model that features a 28ft beam, a six guest stateroom layout with additional crew accommodation and bulbous bow. "Horizon has much experience manufacturing large FRP hulls, building to classes and regulations, and communicating with clients on comprehensive projects," says Horizon CEO John Lu. Bury Design's 60m Expedition Trimaran

First thoughts, she is sleek and stylish but designed for the open oceans and the exploration trips of a lifetime. Bury Design have worked closely with submarine manufacture Trition Submarines on this design to carefully tailor it to meet the requirements to store a range of Triton personal submarines. She will provide unmatched levels of performance in the support of small submarines for extended deep ocean operations, but will also be quite at home being used as a more general expedition yacht.

Paul Bury’s experience in superyacht design and marine oil and gas applications has enabled him development this unique expedition yacht that combines high efficiency, comfort and serviceability. The design will give you the space and stability of a catamaran with the ride comfort of a monohull, giving you the best of both worlds.

She consists of a long, narrow and deep centre hull containing all the propulsive machinery. The outer hulls are shorter, shallower and of much less volume. The dimensions of the outer hulls are tailored to provide initial stability and are optimised for minimal resistance. Her hull arrangement allows her to be configured and optimised for either high efficiency moderate speed operation or very high maximum speeds.

Her layout provides a very large working deck area aft with a customisable forward accommodation area. The aft deck is set to support submarine activities, including below decks stowage and dedicated workshop facilities of up to four manned submersibles. The subs are suitable for personal or tourist excursions, including the Triton 36000/3, capable of full ocean depth (FOD) dives to the bottom of the Mariana Trench.

She has a large helicopter hanger and landing pad forward, with the aft deck and upper deck also fully customisable for helicopter operations.

Another Benetti Concept Design

The Benetti design and innovation section have produced yet another amazing and modern concept design. This time Palomba Serafini Associati design studio came up with this innovative design named project "Jolly Roger".

"We started from the idea of  high-powered car of the sea. Aristocratic and futuristic. An automotive dna that is in the structures, which release the decks from visual obstruction by giving back the relation with nature and the sea. Finally, large windows and a long deck that looks like a terrace overlooking the water."

The large open decks lighten the volume and allow the incorporation of large floor to ceiling windows throughout, reinterpreting the element of power typical of Benetti. A long suspension deck at the bow becomes a living and social space. The owner has the luxury of an entire floor at his disposal on the top deck, a privileged position that allows him to look at the sky through a removable cover. The inspiration came from the automotive sector, as her lines remind you of a high powered super car.
