Cantiere Delle Marche Launch "Gra Nil"
In Ancona on the 16th of May 2014 the Italian shipyard Cantiere delle Marche launched "Gra Nil", the new 26m (86ft) expedition yacht in steel and aluminium built by Cantiere delle Marche and designed by Sergio Cutolo of Hydro Tec.
She is the fifth launch in their Darwin Class by the shipyard since 2011. By August 2014 Cantiere delle Marche will have delivered the first two explorer yachts of the new line "CdM Nauta Air", thats designed by Mario Pedol and Massimo Gino of Nauta Yacht Design. The Nauta Air 86 and Nauta Air 90 will be officially presented during the up coming Boat Shows in 2014.
Vasco Buonpensiere sales director comments: "This is a very important year for CdM. This is the fifth delivery from the beginning and comes after two signed contracts, so this is a wonderful way to celebrate CdM success and dynamism".
Ennio Cecchini CEO, adds: "I personally experienced this long and exciting process that has brought us this success: I think the winning formula has been the full involvement of the client since the beginning, and I would like to thank him from all of us. It will be a very special Darwin Class indeed and we are all looking forward to seeing it cruising the Oceans!".
Gra Nil totally matches the Darwin Classes technical features, designed and engineered by Hydro Tec/Sergio Cutolo: the extra thick steel plates, the treatment systems for bilge, black and grey water used also on commercial ships, two independent rudders. The client had the opportunity to customise both the tecnical specifications and Gra Nil's interior design during the contract's negotiation. Architect Pierluigi Floris created stylish and refined spaces that can host all of the client's family collection of contemporary art
All the lower deck is very bright thanks to the portholes which have been doubled up compared to the ones of the standard Darwin Class 86. The sky lounge on the upper deck is a wide space dedicated to the entertainment, with stereo systems, rollaway tv and other features for the guests entertainment.
We will bring you an update on the two new Nauta Air 86 and Nauta Air 90 as soon as we hear from the shipyard.

Sergio Cutolo's Spacious 57m Explorer Design
Sergio Cutolo, founder of the the Italian design studio Hydro Tech has once again used his extensive experience in explorer design to produce another bold explorer concept. This concept measures 57m (187ft) in length and special attention has been taken to optimize the exterior and interior spaces to maximise the comfort.
This has made it possible for her to be equipped with a wider range of features usually only seen on larger superyachts, for instance a touch and go helipad can be found on the aft deck along with storage for large tenders on either side of the aft deck. This will free up space in the garage where a spacious beach club, sauna and spa area or a dedicated storage area for a personal submarine could be created.
As she has been designed with the intention of exploring in extreme hot and cold climates guest can access the whole yacht without the need to go through any external areas. There is even a corridor located on the lower deck that goes through the engine room to the garage so that the toys can be accessed and setup without braving the elements outside.
Her interior layout offers guests four double cabins, plus a VIP cabin, while a full deck is entirely dedicated to the owner which boasts a huge cabin with forward facing windows that lead out onto a private terrace forward.
She will be equipped with twin MTU 12v 4000 M63 engines that will power her to a top speed of 16kts and a cruising speed of 15kts. Her range at 13kts will be around 5,500nm.

Cantiere Delle Marche Launch New Darwin Class
In Ancona yesterday the 23rd March 2013, the Italian shipyard Cantiere delle Marche announced the launch of M/Y "Stella di Mare", their new 30m (98ft) expedition yacht in the Darwin Class. She is constructed in steel and aluminum and designed by Sergio Cutolo of Hydro Tec.
She is going to be officially presented during the next Cannes Boat Show and has been custom designed and engineered to account for all of the owner's requirements. The owner and his large family and will cruise the Mediterranean during the summer and will then eventually cross the Atlantic Ocean where they will navigate through the East Coast of the US and then onto the warmer waters of the Caribbean.
The owner loves piloting his yachts and spends a lot of time in the wheelhouse, so to share his experience and spend time with his family and friends, Cantiere delle Marche has designed a custom sky lounge, that opens onto the wheelhouse.
She differs from the previous Darwin Class yachts that have been launched as each room is 10sqm bigger, her VIP suite is 1.50sqm longer and her main lounge has been considerable extended. Her garage has also been extended so the all the owners toys can be accommodated for those long expedition journeys.
CdM's shareholder and sales director Vasco Buonpensiere comments:"I am always very excited when I see one of our yachts touching the water for the first time after about 24 months of work, efforts and big challenges all dedicated to our Client’s satisfaction. This 30m yacht is once again the confirmation of the importance of owner and shipyard's relationship and his involvement in the process. That's why I would like to thank our client, his family and the team here at CdM that has contributed building this beautiful, luxury, tough and safe yacht. Cantiere delle Marche stands out, and always will, for its commitment in satisfying its clients at best".
