Icon Yachts New Expedition Concept

Icon Yachts have just introduced their new innovative and revolutionary design, 'EXPOSE'. This ultra modern 120m (394ft) expedition Superyacht is a new project by Icon Yachts in collaboration with Impossible Productions Ink. Her unique exterior styling is influenced by the modern supercars of today, giving those crisp angled lines.

According to Jen Wartena, Managing Director of Icon Yachts,' there is an increased demand for these type of Super Yachts. “Previously the demand for yachts was predominantly focused on the 60m yachts. Lately, we have received an increased requests for Super Yachts of 100m and up. Our shipyard and our team of experienced people are perfectly equipped to meet such demand. We have extensive expertise built up over the past years and with our yard located right at open sea, it is easy for these type of Yachts to be built here and set sail right away.'

One of her most innovative features is the separation between her hull and floating superstructure. This is emphasized by the glass main deck level through which all the entertainment, pool and spa spaces are located. The double height grand entrance at the front, when arriving by helicopter is also part of this open entertainment level.

She also features 2 helicopter pads including one helicopter hangar forward, a 8.5m submarine option, Icon aircraft, 14m tender, expansive tender garages, luxury supercar and art exhibit space, inside outside pool with glass bottom, infinity Jacuzzi, full deck of panoramic pool, a 900sqm spa & entertainment space, panoramic Saloon, 3D surround cinema, panoramic viewing pod on sundeck, wine cellar, humidor and chef's table.

Her interior layout provides the guests and owner with floor to ceiling windows, generous vertical connections and void spaces, creating the feeling of loft style living. Burgess Sign 62.5m Baton Rouge For Sale

Burgess have just signed the 62.5m full displacement Superyacht Baton Rouge for sale. She was delivered by Icon Yachts in September 2010, she features exterior styling by Tim Heywood and a beautiful interior design by Redman Whiteley Dixon that is spread out over her six decks. Burgess managed the project for the owner so it makes perfect sense that they have now signed it for sale.

Baton Rouge's extensive interior guest areas comprise of multiple lounges and dining areas for her guests to enjoy. She can accommodate up to 14 guests in 7 large cabins that include the superb and spacious 100m2 master suite apartment on the main deck, two VIP cabins on the upper deck, plus two double cabins and two convertible double/twins on the lower deck. Her stylish contemporary interior combines beautiful woods, leathers, marbles, nickle and bronze details, hand crafted furniture and original pieces of artwork.

She has a tremendous amount and variety of outdoor deck space for guest to lounge around by the jet stream pool or enjoy their evening meal under the stars on the 80m2 sun deck that can be easily converted. Icon Yachts Rapid Refit of 41m Seven Sins

Icon Yachts have just successfully completed a rapid 6 week refit of the 41m (135ft) Heesen Seven Sins that was launched in 2005. Early in the morning on June the 19th Seven Sins left the Icon yard in Harlingen, Holland and headed down to the Mediterranean Sea for the summer season.

Icon Yachts managed to complete the extensive refit under the estimated time of 10 weeks, quite an achievement by the yard to complete it within 6 weeks. There was a list of jobs to do as long as your arm which included; A hull re-paint, generator overhaul, new teak on the swim platform and internal systems overhaul just to name a small fraction of the jobs.

A total of 8 refit projects have now taken place at the yard over the last 18 months. Martin Anderson Captain of seven Sins commented 'This was a 10 week refit done by Icon Yacht in 6 weeks. This was only possible due to a very dedicated and efficient team. working until midnight was more common than an exception'.

Icon Yachts Launch Their 3rd 63m

Icon Yachts in Holland have just launched their 3rd 63m Megayacht called Maidelle. Their previous launches are MY Icon and MY Baton Rouge and the designer Redman Whiteley Dixon has been involved in all three projects. Maidelle was specially designed for an experienced owner with her exterior design by Redman Whiteley Dixon and the interior design from Cristiano Gatto.

The owner wanted to create a yacht with large entertainment areas, both formal and informal that could be share with his guests, but also spacious rooms for his privacy. These large areas can be seen throughout the yacht with her 17m long main saloon, the outdoor areas and the owners cabin. The owners cabin is split over two decks with a direct link to a panoramic saloon.

Icon Yachts will hand over Maidelle to her owner this summer.

The Icon ER175 High Speed Bullet

The new Icon Yachts ER175 is a high speed Superyacht that is built for style and speed. From looking at the above image she has similar lines and dynamic styling to that of a bullet shot from the barrel of a gun, she just oozes speed. She is designed and engineered by Ivan Erdevicki Naval Architecture & Yacht Design who are based in Vancouver, Canada. As seen in her design name she is 53.3m (175ft) in length and can reach a speed of 31+kts.

The combined team of Icon Yachts and designer Ivan Erdevicki have definitely created something special. Her interior design and decor has been intentionally left open so that the owner will be able to create and design to his/her liking. The type of owner that the Icon 175 is designed for is someone that is looking for a powerful and stylish fast cruising yacht that will turn heads in any port, marina and anchorage it visits.

Her hull and superstructure are one integrated structure, and along with the hulls long waterline that is designed for fuel efficiency will ensure for some smooth cruising. Incorporated within her large and spacious interior she will have a full beam owners suite forward on the main deck, with another 4/5 guest cabins on the lower deck with direct access to the main deck separate from the crew. Also on the main deck she will have the main saloon and bar area that opens out onto the aft deck where guests can be entertained and relax. She will have a full beach club aft and tender storage separate from the beach club so that guest are no disturbed. The tenders can be launched via hydraulic side doors aft. The upper deck will include a jacuzzi and seating area that is perfect for al fresco dining.
