Benetti Introduce 47m "Panthera"
The FB502 M/Y "Panthera" is the second yacht in the 500s series. The first one, FB501 "Imagination", was introduced in 2010 and the third one, FB503 is scheduled for delivery spring 2014. The 500-series megayachts are constructed at Benetti's Livorno boatyard and are 100% aluminium, 47m (154ft) in length and 8.8m wide. They will be able to get to a maximum speed 24kts and cruising speed 22kts.
Panthera will be a fast and comfortable megayacht with a sleek exterior styling. Her clean lines and large tinted oval windows blend perfectly with the metallic silver colour of the exterior, that give her a some what stealthy appearance. One of the key features added by the owner that give Panthera a contemporary interior style is the large fashion photos hung throughout the yacht's main areas. The photos are black and white, colour, large, small, framed, unframed and portray female international models and actresses.
She has four decks the lower, main, upper, and sun deck. The lower deck is dedicated to the guest cabins which include a full beam VIP cabin with a double bed, walk-in closet and an ensuite bathroom. Another two double guest cabins with an ensuite bathrooms also occupy this level. The garage which is situated aft can hold both a tender and a jet ski and has a large door opening onto a large stern swimming platform nearly 10m2.
On the main deck you will find the main saloon, pantry and the owner's suite towards the bow. The owner's suite is full beam cabin with a spectacular view towards the bow which has access to a private exterior lounge. The cabin also has a spacious office, walk-in closet, and an ensuite bathroom with Bisazza mosaics.
The upper deck has a large exterior area at the stern with couches and a covered skylounge. It also has a second VIP cabin, the captain's cabin, and the bridge. Towards the bow there is a second area dedicated to open air living with enormous sunpad in the middle. The upper deck skylounge is one of the Panthera's really special areas. It includes a fully equipped media room with lounge couches and a 46 inch movie screen. It can also be transformed into a disco with strobe lights, LEDs and a sound system that includes a high-end vintage turntable.

Benetti's New Fast Displacement is Born
Benetti took central stage at the Cannes Boat Show yesterday when they announced the new addition the F-125 model in their new fast displacement line to round out their Class Range. The new fast displacement line of composite yachts built by Benetti in the Viareggio boatyard already includes the F-140 which was introduced last year. With this new line Benetti intended to tap into the strong yet relitivly unexplored semicustom megayacht market.
Benetti CEO Vincenzo Poerio says, "Many of our clients have requested faster, more versatile, and efficient boats, while maintaining the same level of comfort and customisation found in our existing yachts. The new fast displacement line is designed precisely in response to these requests, and it rounds out our current offering in the Class Range. We haven't just created a new series; we have invested time and resources - combining the Benetti's 140 years of experience in super yachts with the technological know how of Azimut Benetti Group - to create a new way of heading out to sea."
The two Fast Displacement models were developed by Benetti in collaboration with the Azimut Benetti Group Research Centre, which has designed an extremely innovative hull geometry exclusively for the new range. The Fast Displacement yachts are equipped with a revolutionary new "D2P" Displacement to Planing hull. The new D2P hull has been equipped with a wave piercer bulbous at bow, which allows for an increased cruising efficiency (less resistance to forward motion) of up to 30% compared to a conventional megayacht hull.
The F-125 just like her older sister the F-140 has had her sporty exterior designed by Stefano Righini and her interior designed by British design studio Redman Whitely Dixon. Although the interior is full customisable for the owners, Redman Whitely Dixon have provided three different layout options: Sea, Land and Air. Sea will be modern and light filled bringing the outside in. Land will be more classic with the use of darker warm woods and Air will be the most contemporary with creative open spaces. She will be able to accommodate 10 guests in 5 cabins and will be able to reach a maximum speed of 22kts without putting any strain on the engine.

Benetti 55m "Ocean Paradise"
Benetti just released pictures of their recently launched 55m (180ft) "Ocean Paradise". She will make her anticipated debut at the Monaco Yacht Show 2013 that runs from the 25th - 28th of September. She is built in aluminium and steel on a tried and tested Benetti platform, yet she oozes innovation especially in the interior design and partitioning.
The owner, a dynamic young businessman from Singapore was always closely involved throughout the design and build phases. Minamilist, but never cold, and always connected to the sea were some of the guidelines given by the owner for the development of Ocean Paradise. The guidelines were followed with innovative features such as the combination of transparent and opaque materials to bring the outside in or create a contemporary look and feel inside.
There are four guest cabins that are all located on the lower deck, with access from a central hall that's connected to the main deck foyer. Each cabin has its own spacious bathroom and views of the sea are guaranteed by the large portholes. The owners master suite is located in the traditional place forward on the main deck and stretches across from port to starboard. It includes an expansive bathroom and side balcony areas seen in the picture below.
Light was also of primary importance when designing and constructing Ocean Paradise, as special attention was spent on gaining natural light by incorporating ample windows and a crystal skylight. Artificial light was added using temperature controlled colour lighting to match the natural light. With the importance of natural light you get a some what Zen like feeling and this is only increased as you will find a number of Zen gardens throughout her decks. This addition will create a relaxed and tranquil atmosphere for the owner and guests as they enjoy their home away from home.
Some other features include the oversize swimming pool with waterfalls on the upper deck, a gym, a mini bar with DJ set up. She is one to look out for at the Monaco Yacht Show in September.

Benetti Celebrate 140th Anniversary
![]() |
| Lorenzo Benetti |
After the second world war, with the disappearance of commercial sailing vessels built from wood, Benetti changed direction and began producing pleasure craft made from steel. Then in the early 1960s the boatyard produced its first luxury megayachts. Since 1980 the fleet has included big megayachts in the 30m to 60m range and beyond, including the famous 86m "Nabila".
In 1985 the shipyard was acquired by the celebrated Turin based boat builder Azimut Yacht, which brought in new management and transformed Benetti into the modern, technologically advanced shipyard we know today.
Benetti has a time honored tradition in yacht building and after abandoning wood, they were one of the first to realise the potential of composite materials for the production of megayachts, as early as the 1960s they made the transition from metal boats to the steel and aluminium.
Today Benetti use these materials, alone or combined, to design and build fully custom displacement and semi-displacement megayachts from lengths of 93ft to 90m plus. These yachts capture the owner's idea of what a yacht should be, while retaining the Benetti family feeling that is a natural expression of the finest Italian style and elegance. This is what has made Benetti a world leader and an Italian luxury yacht icon.
Over the years the shipyard has grown and changed. Once the Fratelli Benetti shipyard was famous for building three masted wooden schooners for commercial use. Today Benetti's megayachts turn heads at the world's most famous and exclusive marinas.
"This year will not only be the 140th anniversary of Benetti, it will be also the 10th anniversary of the acquisition of the Livorno Shipyard bought from the Orlando family. We plan a dense calendar of events culminating next June in Portofino with a very exclusive weekend together with our clients from all over the world. Owners don't come to us to buy a ready made yacht, but to construct one together with us in order to fully express their personality and live a genuine rapport with the sea. Clients who approach us with ideas and expectations that are a challenge and a continuous stimulus and when we meet their brief and make every detail perfect with no concessions to compromise, their success becomes ours. This level of quality and passion are the only route to our next 140 years of success". comments Ing Vincenzo Poerio, Benetti’s CEO.
140 years of history, close to 300 boats built, over 300,000 sqm of production facilities at six shipyards in Italy (Viareggio, Livorno and Fano) and 34 megayachts currently under construction at present including a 90m show they are truly a world leader in the superyacht industry.

Her most unique feature is the double height main saloon that's interconnected with the grand central staircase at the heart of the yacht. As with the 70m the service core has been modified to allow crew to pass throughout the yacht without disturbing the owner and guests.
These two designs are modern and full of sleek character and at Mega Yacht Global we are looking forward to seeing their progression into the future.

Another Benetti Concept Design
The Benetti design and innovation section have produced yet another amazing and modern concept design. This time Palomba Serafini Associati design studio came up with this innovative design named project "Jolly Roger".
"We started from the idea of high-powered car of the sea. Aristocratic and futuristic. An automotive dna that is in the structures, which release the decks from visual obstruction by giving back the relation with nature and the sea. Finally, large windows and a long deck that looks like a terrace overlooking the water."
The large open decks lighten the volume and allow the incorporation of large floor to ceiling windows throughout, reinterpreting the element of power typical of Benetti. A long suspension deck at the bow becomes a living and social space. The owner has the luxury of an entire floor at his disposal on the top deck, a privileged position that allows him to look at the sky through a removable cover. The inspiration came from the automotive sector, as her lines remind you of a high powered super car.

News From The Benetti Yard
The latest news from the Benetti Yard for October and November includes the 63m FB265, the Tradition Supreme 108 and the fifth Benetti Delfino 93 'Zaphira'.
The 63m FB265
This 63m (207ft) Megayacht, currently under construction at the Livorno yard, made her first appearance last October when moved to the outfitting area of the yard. She won't be seen again until her official launch in 2014. The giant new steel hull with aluminum superstructure was created by the in house design team, and is the second largest Benetti currently in production (the largest is the FB262, a 90m (295ft) Megayacht, scheduled to be completed by the summer of 2015). The new design is similar to 'Nataly' (FB252), with the addition of another deck. The interior has four levels, and will be powered by twin Caterpillar engines, giving her a top speed of 16.5kts, with a 16kts cruising speed.
Tradition Supreme 108
The new Tradition Supreme 108 (BK001), recently transferred to the outfitting area of the yard, follows the path of the successful Tradition 105. Designed by Stefano Righini, the 32.98m (108ft) Tradition Supreme 108 has a composite structure, and for the first time in the history of the Benetti Class range, the sun deck, roll-bar and hard top are constructed using fiberglass-carbon composites, creating a considerably lighter, and stronger deck structure. Her three decks give a considerable increase in living space and on board comfort.
Ten guests can be comfortably accommodated in five cabins, an owners suite on the main deck and four guest cabins (two double and two twin) on the lower deck. As with all Benetti yachts, interior spaces are completely customizable. The twin MAN engines give her a top speed of 13.5kts, and a cruising speed of 12.5kts. The first Supreme 108 will be delivered in October 2013.
Benetti Delfino 93 'Zaphira'
The fifth Benetti Delfino 93, 'Zaphira' (BD005) was launched in October. She is easily distinguished by her magnificent blue hull and the yacht's nameplate, created by the owner himself. She has a semi displacement composite hull with an overall length of 28.5m (93ft) and a maximum beam of 7m (23ft), her external lines were designed by Stefano Righini.
She can host up to twelve guests in complete comfort, in four guest cabins (two doubles, two twins plus two pullmans) in addition to the owners suite. Two Caterpillar engines give her a top speed of 14kts, a cruising speed of 13kts, and a range of 1500nm at 12kts. She will be delivered at the end of 2012.

Marco Casali Designs New Benetti Superyachts
"Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for
tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning"
From the inspirational words of Albert Einstein, Marco Casali from Too Design in Italy started his design of three innovative Superyachts for Benetti. For the Amarcord 56 design, Too Design took the historical classic lines of (yesterdays) Benetti yachts and reinterpreted them in a modern way. Principessa 72 was designed by looking at the traits of the projects over the last ten years (today) focusing on an innovative functional scheme and on the evolution of the typical lines of the Benetti yachts. Finally, they designed a yacht from the future (tomorrow) Cloud 90, but still leaving traces of the historical memory of the Benetti yard.
Amarcord 56
The Amarcord project resembles the classic Benetti lines of the 1970s with a modern twist. The owners full beam suite is located forward on the main deck and features two terraces. Two further VIP guest cabins are located on the upper deck so that guests can appreciate the magnificent views from the large windows, both of which come with fold down terraces.
The stern extrudes the lines of the upper deck so that it can feature a raised beach area with jacuzzi, which also acts as a bridge to the sea which is accessible from two side stairs opening to the stern platform. She will measure 56m (184ft) in length and will be able to accommodate 16 guests including the owners.
Principessa 72
Marco Casali and Too Design have got this design spot on. They wanted to take the styling from the last ten years and bring it forward into the present day. When you look at the Principessa project you can see the smooth exterior lines of the yachts from the last ten years but they have emphasized the stern with the flowing deck lines. This opened up the option for a pool and lounging area on the bow.
The owners cabin is not it a traditional place, but in the heart of the yacht, in the middle deck. She will be able to accommodate four large tenders in two double garages, one forward and one aft with the possibility to transform one of them into a spa or gym. She will measure 72m (236ft) in length and will be able to accommodate 12-16 guests including the owners depending on the layout. A crew of 24 will keep her in pristine condition wherever she travels in the world.
Cloud 90
Cloud is definitely a Superyacht from the future and from looking at her you can see how Marco Casali has turned his idea into a design.

Cloud 90
Cloud is definitely a Superyacht from the future and from looking at her you can see how Marco Casali has turned his idea into a design.
"The project idea was born from the desire to suspend a cloud above a hull
and lock it with a giant side reinforcement taken from the Benetti heritage."
The middle deck with its fully glazed partitions is one giant open plan layout, like the deck of an aircraft carrier. This gives plenty of space for the guests to make use of. The wide open spaces feature two swimming pools, one forward and one aft, both surrounded with their entertainment areas. The whole perimeter of the bridge is left free to give life to a running track of almost 200m in length, half of a Olympic running track.
The upper and distinct cloud deck is the owners private apartment which includes 360 degree views, snooker room, lounge, office and a massage area. The well-being theme flows throughout the yacht from the upper deck to the lower deck, which houses a gym and spa area for the guests. She will measure 90m (295ft) in length and will be able to accommodate 16 guests including the owners in an 8 cabin layout.
