Sunrise Yachts Launch "Project Sunset"

Recently in Antalya, Turkey five years after delivering M/Y "Africa" Sunrise Yachts confirms the launching of her sister ship this week, "Project Sunset - Hull 182". The yacht's name will remain confidential until delivery next month to its North American client.

She measures 45m (148ft) in length and is a three deck, deep sea, full displacement, transatlantic, steel hull and aluminium superstructure luxury megayacht, built to operate for private use or charter in all the seas and oceans around the world.

Her interior design was created by the talent of Nantes based Franck Darnet Design, who had previously designed the interior for "Africa". Similar to her sister she has dark tropical woods, contemporary and elegant decor will feature light veneers and a bright colour scheme.

Guillaume Roché, the Sunrise Yachts CEO, stated: "Just like M/Y "Africa" was one of the "star" yachts when introduced at the Monaco Yacht Show, we are confident that the new 45m will be one of the most notable yachts delivered worldwide this year in its category. She will be presented to the public at the Monaco Yacht Show, September 24th - 27th, 2014 and at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, October 30th to November 3rd, 2014.

The Next Bond Project "Skyfall"

Sunrise Yachts in Antalya, Turkey will deliver John and Jeanette Staluppi's nineteenth and largest project to date in 2017. Project "Skyfall" will measure 68m (223ft) in length, is designed by Vallicelli & Co., an interior design by Focus Yacht Design and naval architecture by Mulder Design and OYD. From looking at the Staluppi's previous megayachts, we can only expect a stylish exterior design and a glamorous and luxurious interior.

The confirmation of project "Skyfall", was the outcome of months of development between the clients, the designers, the brokers and the builder's teams. This confirmation represents a considerable achievement and milestone for Sunrise Yachts.

Worth Avenue Yachts, who have been advising the clients, will be following up on the project's construction until delivery in 2017. "There are some yachts that become game changers, that alter the desires and aspirations of future designs simply becoming the way of the future, this is one of those yachts." stated Peter Thompson.

She is a fast displacement megayacht with a steel hull and aluminum superstructure. She has been designed to meet the owner's particular requirements in terms of exterior design, comfort and in true Staluppi style the all important "speed" element. The Staluppi's spirit of innovation has produced many groundbreaking megayachts over the years and Skyfall will be no exeption featuring a host of technologies never combined in a megayacht project before. One is the Voith Linear Jet propulsion system that offers performance, reliability, silence and the MME micro turbines which could be the power generating solution of the future.
 

Andrea Vallicelli of Vallicelli & Co. explains: "The originality of the style, playing with harmonious contrasts between soft and rigid formal elements, is clearly noticeable in the sheer line. Moreover, the low angle of the transom slope, reminiscent of a racing sailing yacht, and the long forward overhang help Project "Skyfall" to be a very slender yacht, although she has no less than five decks."

A press conference with the owners and the full project team in attendance will be held during the Palm Beach International Boat Show, March 20-23, 2014.

Sunrise Yachts Sign 45m Order

"If it works don't change it" must be the logic behind Sunrise Yachts as they just signed an order to start construction on their second 45m (147ft) megayacht that's destined for a North-American client. She will be known as project "Sunset" and her sister-ship M/Y Africa was launched four years ago. Project Sunset will have a short construction time as she's at the stage of interior outfitting which gives the new owner time to fully customise her interior to his liking. She is scheduled for delivery in July 2014, not to far away when you think that the order has just been confirmed.

The task of the interior design has been awarded to the talented hands of Franck Darnet Design, who previously designed the interior for M/Y Africa. In a total contrast to the dark wood interior of her sister-ship project Sunset will feature a contemporary decor with light veneers and a bright colour scheme.

The client, who wishes to remain private, shared his thoughts about the shipyard: "When I considered this acquisition, after doing extensive research on the market, I was a little nervous about entrusting a relatively new builder, in Turkey, with my first yacht project. I had to meet the entire team and to see the shipyard for myself. I have to say that neither myself nor my consultants were expecting to see such a large and modern facility, integrating a full engineering office and filled with new construction projects. What impressed me the most is the spirit of genuine love for their craft that pervades the team. I encourage every prospective yacht owner to meet the Sunrise management. I know I am getting a great yacht at great value". 

She will be delivered in July 2014 and showcased by appointment only, at the Monaco Yacht Show in September 2014 and at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in October 2014.

Sunrise Yachts Keep Signing New Contracts

Sunrise Yachts are going to be kept busy for the next few years after they just singed a contract to build a new 56m (184ft) diesel electric motor Megayacht, this is the second contract they have singed in the past 2 months. This innovative project identified as 561 is scheduled for a delivery in 2015 to an experienced South American yachtsman. The project was brokered by Fernando Nicholson of Camper & Nicholsons Miami and designed by Espen Oeino with interiors by Franck Darnet Design.

The owner is a true lover of yachts and for the marine environment, and intends to devote more of his time to cruising his yacht around the world. She will be a long range yacht designed for circumnavigation in comfort that has a range of 5,000nm. She features indoor/outdoor spaces on the main deck and bridge deck with an abundance of natural light, it will also include a full fourth deck with a panoramic master suite aft and a large observation lounge forward (seen in the image above). A waterfall will cascade down from the bridge deck aft into a large swimming pool on the main deck, a splendid feature that guest will enjoy immensely on hot days.

The interior by Franck Darnet will be a contemporary casual style. Franck has previously worked with the shipyard on two 45m projects: MY Africa, delivered in 2009 and Project Sunset, with delivery scheduled in 2013.

Sunrise Yachts Signs Contract For Second 63m

The Antalya based yacht builder Sunrise Yachts just signed a new contract for their second 63m (206ft) project for a European client introduced by YMG Yacht Management Group Switzerland.

The new 63m project is based on the same hull as the 63m currently under construction at the shipyard. She will be one of the largest motor yachts ever built in Turkey at nearly 1,400 GRT. She will be one of the largest yachts in its length category and offers spectacular volumes while being able to access most marinas, a winning combination and a critical requirement for the owner.

She will be able to accommodate 12 guests in 6 cabins and have a crew of 18, she will have a maximum speed of 17kts and a range of 4,500nm at cruising speed. The Espen Oenio designed Megayacht will be delivered in 2014 and Mega Yacht Global will keep you up to date on the progress of the project.

Sunrise Yachts New 50m 'Bringing The Outside In'

You look at this new 50m (164ft) design from Sunrise Yachts and the first thing that crosses your mind is sitting in the upper deck with your favorite book, feeling the warm tropical breeze blow through from one side to the other. This new 50m brings the outside in, bringing the guests and owners closer to the sea and the sky. The full height windows, skylights and balconies that extend over the water create spaces where boundaries disappear between the luxury interior and the vast open outdoors.

She has been designed by Espen Oenio one of the worlds leading yacht designers and is sure to cause a stir in the Superyacht industry with her innovative design when she is completed in 2013. Her light modern interior that adds to the open spacious feeling is designed by Franck Darnet Design and can be seen in the image below.

There will be two interior layout options that owners can choose from. Option 1 will have all of the accommodation on the main deck accommodating 10 guests including the owners in a full beam owners suite, 2 double suites and 2 twin suites. This arrangement allows the upper deck to be used for dining or relaxing in the upper saloon. In option 2 the upper deck is the owners private deck which will include the owners suite and private office area. The other guest accommodation will be forward on the main deck. This option will also include an infinity pool on the lower aft deck for cooling down in the hot sun.
